Arthur Stanley HIRST
[From Bonnet, 1945: 66]. Arthur Stanley Hirst (1883-1930) [rather than Stanley Arthur] read Zoology at University College London and joined the Museum in 1905, becoming Assistant Keeper in 1921 and resigning, also due to ill health, in 1927. He was in charge of Arachnida and Myriopoda, and was an authority on Acari. [Polly Tucker in litt.].

DISCLAIMER — This resource
was first intended as for private use of the members of the arachnology
lab of Museu Nacional, but later we thought "why not to share
this with the world?". Eventually if greedy lawyers (redundance...)
start to bother us with copyright matters, etc, we may have to be forced
to quit the project and keep this just to ourselves. |
