Kai Ludvig HENRIKSEN
Birthplace: Copenhagen, Denmark.
Died: 28 Juni 1940
Henriksen was born in Copenhagen, as the son of a police constable. His major contribution for taxonomy of Opiliones was the monumental posthumous edition of the notes left by Sørensen.
Danish entomologist. Henriksen made a clear mark on the Zoological Museum Copenhagen (ZMUC) arthropods Department, whose director he was from 1931, and the entomological journal releases, which he edited 1919-32. His multifaceted original research related mostly to beetles but also wasps, galls, insect fossils; his dissertation from 1933 deals with Quaternary insect fossils. His overview of Danish Entomologis History (1921-37) is a masterpiece of Danish zoological history.
